Sanjay Leela Bhansali Padmavati has been creating a buzz with its trailer and posters. And now, the makers have released the first song of Padmavati “Ghoomar” today. Deepika Padukone looks jaw-droppingly beautiful in the song. The song has been composed by Bhansali and sung by ace singer Shreya Ghoshal.

In an interview, Deepika said that the dance form was exceptionally challenging. “I started preparing for this film and character several months before we started filming. But it was for the Ghoomar song [sequence] that I walked onto the set as Padmavati for the first time,” she said.
“The shooting of the film began with this song, and I’ll never forget that day. I remember approaching my mark for the first shot. It was almost as if Padmavati’s soul had entered my body. I could feel her presence; and, in fact, I still do. It’s one of those rare moments in an actor’s life where it’s going to take a very long time before it actually leaves the system,” Deepika added

Ghoomar is a traditional dance form performed by queens and new brides of Rajasthan when they enter their new marital home and its moves spell grace and elegance.
